2025 Spiegelfestival Galerie De Twee Pauwen

During the Spiegel Festival in The Hague, Galerie De Twee Pauwen will showcase works by various artists, including photographer Joost Wensveen. Joost Wensveen creates photographic series in which the aesthetics of the captured image serve the story he aims to tell.

For this exhibition, we have chosen to present his series of diving people. With these photographs, Joost captures the sparkling light and tumbling movements. Only a truly skilled artist is capable of capturing such seemingly spontaneous moments.

This particular series revolves around youthfulness, joy, and a certain degree of showing off that often comes with being young. Beyond appreciating the beautiful colors and perfect composition, these photographs bring a smile to the viewer’s face—everyone was young once and wanted to show their best side.
